This role will cover financial areas across Operations, Program Management, Partnerships, and HR.

Responsibilities

The main responsibilities for this role are:

  • Implement robust financial management controls for our programs and partnerships
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets for concept notes, proposals, impact investment, and grants
  • Process and administrate purchase orders
  • Pay suppliers and process expense reimbursements
  • Ensure all bank account movements are entered accurately and reconciled
  • Manage company fixed assets, enter new assets depreciate and reconcile
  • Ensure invoices are properly drafted, authorized, coded, and paid
  • Process employment contracts and execute payroll
  • Liaise with our accountant/back office for quarterly and annual financial reconciliation, accounts payable/receivable, salaries, and tax obligations
  • Ensure that the contract billing and collection schedules are adhered to
  • Ensure that financial data and cash flow are steady and support operational requirements
  • Support with annual financial planning and budgeting
  • Assist with management accounts, sales reporting and other ad hoc reports
  • Perform ad-hoc administrative support or other ad-hoc duties as reasonably requested

Requirements

  • 3-5 yrs of experience in financial administration
  • Tech-savvy with office and cloud-based applications such as Visma NMBRS and Salesforce
  • Experience with Dutch accounting and financial practices
  • Knowledge of grant accounting and public funds requirements
  • Strong organizational and strategic planning skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail, highly organized
  • Strong communication (written & verbal) in English (required)
  • Strong communication (written & verbal) in Dutch (required)
